The Raptor Route is Moab’s newest trail system. This 9.5 mile trail is rated a blue square, making it an intermediate trail on the level of difficulty. It is fun, fast, and flowy, nothing too technical. It is comprised of two new trails, Eagle Eye and Falcon Flow.
RAPTOR ROUTE TRAIL SYSTEM
Eagle Eye is a 2.3-mile singletrack and makes up the top section of Raptor Route. Falcon Flow is a 5.7-mile singletrack trail and makes up the bottom portion. Connecting these two trails is the classic Porcupine Rim 4×4 and Lazy Man’s Road.
The concept of this trail system is to offer an alternative option to exit the Whole Enchilada trail system allowing riders to bypass the Porcupine Rim trail. However, it can also be ridden on its own.
To ride Raptor Route, follow the purple signs down from Eagle Eye to the Lazy Man’s Road trailhead and make a right. Once you hit the Porcupine Rim 4×4 road head left and exit onto Sand Flats Road. The Falcon Flow trailhead is 800’ on the left side of the road.
Another popular option is to get a taste of the Whole Enchilada. LPS Mountain Bike Trail (rated Black Diamond) to the Porcupine Rim Overlook exit towards Sand Flats Road (Water Tanks) and connect to Falcon Flow.
