Labyrinth Canyon:

Labyrinth Canyon is a section of the Green River considered to be one of the most relaxing river floats within the closest proximity to Moab. A family and dog-friendly trip consisting of class 1 river generally takes between 3-5 days. This flat water stretch meanders through a red rock canyon corridor filled with spires, hoodoos, and colossal desert-varnished red rock walls emerging out from the river ascending higher around each bend.

The sandstone walls are a glimpse into history with rock art stories carved and painted by the ancestral peoples who made their homes along the river.

Stargazers will be enthralled by the night. Labyrinth Canyon is far from any source of light pollution, lying beneath some of Utah’s darkest skies, making it an idyllic place to view the galaxy above.

River levels fluctuate throughout the summer with peak runoff generally occurring from the end of May to mid-June. During fall and winter, water flow gradually decreases to its lowest point. The hottest months are July and August with common afternoon thunderstorms.
