🟢 The "Family & First-Timer" Loop
Skill Level: True Beginner / Young Children
The Route: Rusty Spur ➔ EZ ➔ Lazy
Description: Start with Rusty Spur, a mellow 1.6-mile loop that is 100% beginner-friendly with no scary obstacles. Transition into EZ for a gentle introduction to singletrack flow, and finish on Lazy for a "swoopy" ride back toward the lot.
Total Distance: ~4–5 miles.
🔵 The "Moab Flow" Loop
Skill Level: Intermediate
The Route: North 40 ➔ Maverick ➔ Sidewinder
Description: This is the best intermediate loop in the system. North 40 offers incredible views of Arches and broken-rock terrain. Maverick features fun bermed corners, and Sidewinder delivers a fast, flowing descent that makes you feel like a pro.
Total Distance: ~8–10 miles.
🔴 The "Slickrock Skills" Loop
Skill Level: Intermediate / Advanced (Technical)
The Route: Rockin’ A ➔ Circle O ➔ Bar B
Description: Want to practice riding on the famous Moab slickrock without the fatal exposure of the Portal? This loop is almost entirely on sandstone. Follow the painted dots on the rock and test your traction and low-speed balance.
Total Distance: ~7 miles.
⚫ The "Advanced Tech" Loop
Skill Level: Expert
The Route: Deadman’s Ridge ➔ Long Branch ➔ Killer B
Description: For those who want to test their mettle. Deadman’s Ridge is a technical masterpiece with rocky climbs and drops. Long Branch adds more chunk, and Killer B is the system’s double-black downhill—short, steep, and very rowdy.
Total Distance: ~6 miles (high intensity).
Pro Tip for Shuttles
If you have a group with split skills, drop everyone at the Brands. The experts can rip Killer B while the families cruise Rusty Spur, and everyone can meet back at the parking lot for the paved 8-mile cruise back to town together!
