This departure location is for those riding Mag-7 and exiting the Portal Trail and Poison Spider Mesa Trail. There is a large pullout on the riverside of the road at the bottom of the Portal Trail. During high season, the area can fill up. There is additional roadside parking above and below.
Parking your car here will eliminate riding an additional 7-9 miles (11-14 km) back to town. If you are riding Mag-7, park your vehicle here.
Please be ready to board the shuttle 15 minutes prior to departure.
From town, head north on HWY 191. Make a left onto HWY 279 Potash Road. Drive three and a half (3.5) miles to the roadside lot on the riverside of the road. If traveling East on Potash Road, the parking area will be one-quarter of a mile past the Jaycee Campground.
We load from this pullout. If you park somewhere else, you will need to meet the shuttle here.
